HOW BEING OVERLOOKED HELPED LEAD TO MY BLOG (MY 4TH BLOGGERVERSARY)

TRANSPARENT TESTIMONY THAT I LIKE TO SHARE ON EACH ANNIVERSARY OF MY BLOG.

A few years ago I was sent an invite to receive a monthly Christian newsletter from a group of ministers at a church I used to attend in Memphis.

I have to admit it hurt and offended me that I wasn’t asked to contribute, especially since I was writing professionally for a living. Hey, we all have human moments. Then I asked myself, if they asked me, would I be able to have good content once a month.

Fast forward to 2016 when God leads me to begin my website, BEBLESSTIFIED.COM. I made a commitment to make an original post every day. Since then God has given me inspiration every day. Some days, I can’t believe what God places inside me. I love blogging!

Oh yeah, being ignored at that church led me to the church that God meant for me to be. Had the Pastor not ignored me, I might still be ‘planted in the wrong field’.

I’m saying all this to say, that if God is allowing you to be excluded or ignored…maybe He is leading you down YOUR path, and not someone else’s.

Oh, and by the way, that newsletter is no longer being published.

Thanks for stopping by and…

BE BLESSTIFIED!

  1. I’ve observed this with others and experienced this myself – being “oddly” overlooked even though you have the experience and qualifications to make you an ideal choice. And then to also observe that the people who are chosen bungle it!
This is a mystery. Although in certain circumstances I think ego might be involved – a leader does not want to appoint qualified people for fear of being outshined. (Sad, such lost potential!) I also think that sometimes a gifted person is overlooked because they have the “wrong” personality (quiet, introvert). Most of the time though, I am just puzzled by how some people are overlooked!
I like your encouraging point – if God is allowing you to be excluded or ignoredā€¦maybe He is leading you down YOUR path, and not someone elseā€™s. Amen! Do what you can – not what you can’t. I’m glad to have discovered your blog.
