I know I’m not the only one who does this…
You’re trying to hear something on television, on your phone, on the radio, or whatever and someone keeps talking loud…
One of your favorite songs comes on, or something’s being said that you really want to hear…
You want them to be quiet, but you don’t want to tell them to be quiet…
So what do you do? To give a subtle HINT, you lean into what you’re TRYING to hear and SQUINT.
Someone is talking to you but they aren’t talking loud enough. It’s becoming annoying, so what do you find yourself doing…Leaning in and squinting your eyes.🤣
If you want to REALLY make someone listen…whisper.
Squinting your eyes says, “I can’t hear you!”
Squinting your eyes is saying nonverbally, “I’M TRYING TO LISTEN!”
1 Kings 19:11-12 (NKJV)
11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a]a still small voice.
BE BLESSTIFIED!
