Why do so many people look for someone ‘just like them’ when they want to get married?
Don’t be discouraged when you get married and your differences are slowly revealed.
Your strengths should cover and supplement your spouse’s weaknesses…and vice versa.
Things that are EXACTLY alike aren’t always compatible.
Remember, God created man and woman so our differences make us fit together perfectly.
Genesis 2:24 (NKJV)
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Don’t let your differences come between you…let them connect you.

So so true! But I have to ask…..what happens when you marry your soulmate? We have every single thing in common and it’s the best thing to ever happen to me!

That’s just gravy. That’s icing on the cake:-) That’s having your cake and eating it too:-) It’s a true blessing when you have all things in common, but I also believe some soul mates don’t. As long as a couple shares the same core values they can work through their differences. My main intention of posting was to encourage couples who are different, and remind people who aren’t married that you dont have to limit your search to people just like themselves. My wife loves dogs. Me…not so much, but we’ve been together 30 years. We are definitely soul mates:-)

If I was married to someone just like me I would not longer be married – I am so thankful my wife feels differently about being married to someone like me!
