WHY BEING IGNORED IS ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTS OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT…

My wife and I love to clown around and play with one another. One of her favorite ways to ‘annoy’ me sometimes is to ignore me.

The fact that she doesn’t respond doesn’t mean that she didn’t see, hear or notice me. She is making a deliberate attempt not respond…that takes effort.

So many times creatives, writers, artists, musicians, ministers, etc. can become frustrated when they feel they are being ignored.

Let me give you a quick word of encouragement.

It can be painful when people who are close to you…acquaintances…peers don’t acknowledge what you release from your heart.

But remember this.

YOU CAN’T IGNORE WHAT YOU HAVEN’T NOTICED!

Just as when my wife is teasing with me…it takes effort to ignore someone. There’s always a reason that people ignore you. Sometimes its…

Envy

Jealousy

Pride

Simply not wanting you to know that they see what God has allowed you to accomplish.

So, don’t get too upset when you’re pretty sure that you’re being deliberately ignored. That’s confirmation that you’re making an impact. And, the impression that you made is still a seed planted, even if you’re ignored.

Matthew 10:14 (ESV)

14 And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.

BE BLESSTIFIED!
