LET’S TALK ABOUT THE THINGS GOD COULDN’T DO…

Jesus Christ came to die for our sins, but that’s not the ONLY reason He came.

God wanted to show us that even though He is …

All powerful (Omnipotent),

All knowing (Omniscient), and

Everywhere at the same time (Omnipresent)…

There were still some things that He COULD NOT DO.

I’m not talking about the old cliché, that God can do everything but fail…yes that’s very true.

God wanted us to know that with even through all His power and authority, He could still empathize with our fragile, weak flesh. He wanted to show us that He could feel what we feel through His Son.

Because a perfect, all-powerful, all-knowing Spirit, God could never…

Sweat…

Bruise…

Bleed…

Get sick…

Feel weak…

Feel hungry…

Get a stomach ache…

Feel tempted sexually…

But most importantly God could never… DIE!

Jesus came to SUBMIT Himself to endure the weaknesses of a body so that He could feel what we feel…that He too could have the human experience.

Stop and GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE for loving us so much that he would, “Take a long walk in our shoes”. I think He deserves it. Don’t you?

JESUS TOOK A WALK IN YOUR SHOES…

IF JESUS WAS TEMPTED IN ‘ALL’ POINTS LIKE US, THEN THAT MEANS HE WAS TEMPTED BY __________TOO?

Hebrews 4:15 (NKJV)

15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

I first published a version of this piece back in 2017, and I hope the revision helps us to realize that just as God sent His Son to empathize with us, we should try empathize with Him.

BE BLESSTIFIED!

  1. Everything he did in his humaity was to teach us how to react in a similar situation. The more I think about this the more the words of Phillipians 2:5-11 resonate with me.
