WHEN SOMEONE SAYS ‘I’M LIVING MY TRUTH’…

Psalm 26:3 (NKJV)

3 For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes,
And (A)I have walked in Your truth.

Psalm 86:11 (NKJV)

11 (A)Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
[a]Unite my heart to fear Your name.

If you consider yourself a disciple of Christ, you must be very careful of a popular affirmation these days…

I’m living my truth!”

Sometimes our truth is sin, anger, wrath, rage, lust, jealousy, prejudice, betrayal, hate, blame,a hardened heart, refusal to read God’s word, refusal to pray, forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, worshipping our desires, satisfaction of our flesh, rebellion against God.

The truth is, we can’t trust our heart or our ‘truth’ because without the truth of God’s word…it’s wicked.

Jeremiah 17:9 (NKJV)

9 “The heart is deceitful above all things,
And [a]desperately wicked;
Who can know it?

  1. Amen. We can not rely upon our own truth. For one we do not know what real truth is. But when we go to the word of God and begin to live by His words then we can say we know the truth.

    For the bible says in John 8:31-32, So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

  2. I keep hearing the idiolatry of this book. Its a book and would be truly worthless. Ok God your book is worthless without your Spirit of Truth who was sent by you on completion of the book by Jesus who alone fulfills it. John 16: 7-17: But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

    12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

    John 17 Jesus explains sanctification also a gift from him for everyone who believes.

    Book? Go build an Ark. Soo how valuable that is out of time and sequence. The book doesn’t work without the rebirth by the Holy Spirit who wrote it. Chris.
