Temptation, no matter what kind, is a demon asking to come into your house, your ‘temple of God’ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Giving in is just like saying, “Welcome, come on in, God can you please step out, I’ve got company”.
Don’t ask God to leave so a devil can come in. Most of the time the demon is looking for a place for him and his friends to hang out, in fact they want to move in.
Walk in the Spirit, put on the whole armor of God and keep the devil out.
Don’t ask God to leave to a demon to come in. Once they get comfortable in your house, most of the time, it’s not very easy to get them to leave.
Matthew 12:43-45 (NKJV)
43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”
Galatians 5:16-24
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control.
BE BLESSTIFIED!!!
Now that is the truth and a most excellent reminder to be VERY careful.

This is so true, both figuratively and literally. A child’s “game,” known as a ouija board, destroyed my life when I was 14 years old, and the life of my 15 year old friend.

Wow! Have you ever written anything about it? I suppose that will be in your memoirs?

It will be in my memoirs. It is the hardest part of my story to tell. But it needs to be told. I’m just sorry it has taken me so long to get it in writing.

All in God’s timing. It will be at just the ‘write’ time:-)

I think there needs to be more teaching on this, but because of sensitivity around the subject of demons and our participation in the process of sanctification in many congregations …people go on handing out invitations to not very nice house guests.
A great post Aldtric, and a excellent reminder to be careful. thanks for sharing dude
