A 40 SECOND WORD FOR THE HUMBLE (A BEBLESSTIFED BACKYARD BLESSING)…

This is another one of my earliest pieces,

A WORD TO THE HUMBLE

If they praise you now, if to you they bow,

you already have your reward.

But, every time you bring glory to the King,

in heaven yours is stored!

Don’t set your treasures on earthly pleasures,

they will only waste away.

The love of Jesus is enough to please us

if we just let Him have His way.

Matthew 6:1-2 (NKJV)

6 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

Matthew 6:19-21 (NKJV)

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
