Two fathers. Two families. Two situations. One question…
One father in the comfort of their home looks happily into the eyes of his children and says, “What are we going to eat tonight” before taking them out to eat.
The other father huddles with his family under the highway overpass hopelessly looks into the eyes of his children and says, “What are we going to eat tonight” before going out to look for something to eat.
Never take for granted the blessing of…
Having something to eat.
Having a place to sleep.
Of having enough for EACH day as it comes. Anything more than that…is abundance.
Matthew 6:31-34 (NKJV)
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
1 Timothy 6:6-8 (NKJV)

Deuteronomy 15:7 (NKJV)
7 “If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother,
2 Corinthians 9:12-15 (NKJV)
12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, 13 while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal sharing with them and all men, 14 and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!
