Whether we want to admit it or not, all of our beloved family members didn’t die in Christ. We all have family, friends and loved ones that, unless they had a last-minute conversion…died lost, and won’t make it into God’s Kingdom. It may have been a grandparent, parent, sibling, adult child, cousin or dear friend. I know that everyone has the same opportunity as the thief on the cross (Luke 23:39-43), but that doesn’t always happen. Everyone doesn’t get the opportunity to accept Christ on their death-bed. It’s hard to think of someone who we truly love dying lost…Imagine a future of nothing but torment.

Even for those who don’t believe in Hell, who would want to go back to the nothingness you experienced (or didn’t experience) the ages before you were born?

As much as it hurts to think about it, just as sure as you’re reading this right now, that’s the reality of those who die in their sin…who don’t accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior(Acts 4:12, John 14:6, John 3:36). But, just as sure as you’re reading this right now, you have time to make sure it’s not yours.

Just like the rich man in Luke 16: 27-31, if those lost loved ones were able, they would tell you that you don’t want to be where they are. Are you living a life so that you can join your loved ones who will make it in? Did you do as much as it was within your power to help those who died lost while they were living? Now’s the time to make sure that you make it in…now’s the time to help make sure your living loved ones make it in. Don’t get so distracted trying to GET AHEAD in this life that you get LEFT BEHIND in the next. Make sure you MAKE IT IN!

27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’

2 Corinthians 6: (NKJV)

For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
