“NEW LEAF”

Say you want to ‘turn over a new leaf’?
I hope you don’t do it in the wind..
Because the last time it didn’t take
much of a breeze…
to make you turn it back over again.
James 1:6-8 (NKJV)
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

A SIMPLE SMILE?

Job 9:27 (NKJV)
If I say, ‘I will forget my complaint,
I will put off my sad face and wear a smile,’

“Just smile!”, we often say…But it’s not always that simple.

I don’t think Jesus was smiling in the garden when He asked the Father, “if you are willing, take this cup from me”…but He may have when He said, “nevertheless, not my will buy thine be done” (Luke 22:42)

I’m sure Jesus wasn’t smiling when getting nailed in the hands and feet, or when He said my, “God, My God why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46)

But, He may have lovingly when He said, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing” (Luke 23:34).

So, be kind today when you see someone smile because smiles don’t always come easily. You never know what pain, frustration and disappointment a smile had to force its way through.

Because even though you see a smile, the struggle is still there.

Even though you see a smile, pain may be hiding right behind it.

Greet someone’s smile, with a smile…it will bless your heart and theirs as well.
