WHEN GOD USES THE ‘N-WORD’…

wp-1491849985989.

God has said it to me many times.

The โ€˜N-WORDโ€™

And I must admit that itโ€™s very rare that I like it.

Itโ€™s very hard for me to hear.

Sometimes, I think itโ€™s not fair.

I will think to myself, โ€œYou didnโ€™t say the โ€˜N-WORDโ€™ to himโ€ฆor to her!”

I know that God is sovereign, and He can say whatever He wants to say.

I know He loves me…knows whatโ€™s best for me…and everything He does is always working for my good.

I know He knows me better than I know myself.

Yes, I trust Him, and I submit to His perfect will for my life.

But, that doesnโ€™t make it hurt any less when God decides to respond to me withโ€ฆ

The โ€˜N-WORDโ€™

Sometimes I reason within myself, He really didnโ€™t mean that.

Sometimes I will keep pushing, trying to force a different responseโ€ฆ

But, still His answer remains to be…

The โ€˜N-WORDโ€™

As much as He loves me and gives me all of what I need and some of what I wantโ€ฆ

Sometimes God has to say…

The โ€˜N-WORDโ€™ to me

As much as I donโ€™t like it, I still love Him and trust Him.

I take peace in the fact that His grace is always sufficient for me.

How do you reactโ€ฆ

When God tells you โ€œNOโ€?

2 Corinthians 12: 8-9 (NKJV)

Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, โ€œMy grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.โ€ Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
