Be very careful to notice where God uses the word ‘AS’ in His word. It can be easily overlooked, but the comparisons are always very powerful and contain profound revelation into how God relates to us.
It is literally used to say ‘LIKE”.
For example, God isn’t saying it only takes a little faith in Matthew 17 verse 20. On the contrary, there are numerous occasions when Jesus rebuked His disciples for having ‘little’ faith and complimented others for having great faith. Link
He is saying that it takes great faith for something AS small as a grain of mustard seed to create something great…
Matthew 17:20 (NKJV)
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your [a]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith AS a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

God forgives us AS we forgive others…

God relates to us AS we relate to our children…
Psalm 103:13 (NKJV)
13 AS a
father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
So when you read God’s word, get your ‘AS’ right!
