I may lose some readers and/or ‘followers’ for making this post, but it’s my prayer that God will gain some.
Okay, I know this is a morbid unpopular subject, and most people don’t like to talk about or preach about it any more, but as I read Matthew Chapter 7, I can’t read past verses 13 and 14 without drawing the conclusion…that most people will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10-15).
Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV)
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are MANY who go in by it. 14 Because[a] narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are FEW who find it.
The LORD says, “many go in by it” meaning the gate to destruction, and then He goes on to say, “ few are they who find it” in regard to those who find the way which leads to life. Jesus lets us know that the road that leads to life is difficult.
So, according to scripture, the truth is that MOST people will not enter into God’s Kingdom.
We all have loved ones who died without accepting the Christ Jesus as LORD and Savior. It’s a difficult thought to accept their eternal plight.
That’s why in Jesus’ parable of “The Rich Man and Lazarus”, the rich man who died asked for a message to be sent to his brothers so that they would not end up like Him.. Your loved ones who died outside of Christ would tell you the same thing if they could…
Luke 16:19-31 (NKJV)
19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell[a] from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’ 27 “Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ 29 Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’”
The awesome news is that if you’re able to read this post, God has given you grace and time to accept Yeshua, (Christ Jesus) as LORD and Savior of your life.
Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
That’s how easy it is to avoid eternal separation from the presence of God. Now, I know there is much debate over whether it’s a literal Hell, Lake or Fire, whether you burn forever or are immediately consumed. I know there are those who say that the church ‘created’ Hell to control the masses, but all of that is another discussion….all I know is I don’t want to find out the hard way.
As much as I love to encourage you, I wouldn’t be responsible as a minister of God if I didn’t warn everyone of the ultimate consequences of sin…
So, even though it’s difficult, enter into and continue the narrow path. Even though most people ‘won’t make it in’, you can make sure that you do.
BE BLESSTIFIED!
Wow. This is so true and candidly honest. I agree though. I’m a part of a ministry that speaks candidly about all aspects of the Bible, and I’m glad you are carrying the torch as well. We need to be honest with people and tell them the FULL Gospel. Though it is a hard revelation sometimes, it needs to be told. Thx for sharing.

You welcome friend! You’re exactly right =) I know oh so well. Been Pentecost all my life. On the other hand though, I guess it was nothing I had to get really accustomed to. I was born into it. Even though I had to make the choice for myself, all of my family pretty much was going the same way so it was lots of encouragement for me. It can be harder depending on the circumstances. God bless you! Keep on keeping on. =)

Isaiah 55:11
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Separation from God is Hell in itself, yet to cease to exist forever is not exactly a cool thing either. However, I believe you are correct that most won’t make it. In fact, I believe it was almost intended that way even though God wanted as many as possible.

You’re right. He already knew who would choose Him and who would reject Him.

I thought your message so important, I reblogged it and also wrote a similar article as I believe we should carry the message of the gospel to all. Thank you for the inspiration.

Yes, and it is hard to bring up because people don’t want to hear it. Still, we try.

Brother, you have not lost a reader here. What you have said is uncomfortable but needed. Those who water this down are responsible for lost souls, and will account for that someday themselves. They may, in fact, be lost themselves at worst or face a real loss of reward if not. Preach on, friend.

I wrestled with this question too: “How can a loving God condemn people to eternal hellfire?” But when you study scripture and the original meaning of words if becomes clear! https://thecelestialproposal.com/2017/01/16/the-great-deception-god-is-not-ruling-our-world-now/ You don’t have to print this comment but I just want to share it with you!

If there is any truth that many people do not want to hear or read, it is definitely the lake of fire. Many people are going there because they do not want to just turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. They would rather do what they want, believe in something false, or be someone they are not…of course, we all want to do what we want. But, to think about being in an eternal place where we are burning and screaming in extreme and never ending pain…I would rather do the right thing so that I can live eternally.

Hell…now there is a fun topic. I find it interesting that you mentioned the debate about it. From my own historical reading of the subject, it seems that there has been debate on this in Christendom for a long time. While Tertulian taught the eternal torment of the wicked, Origen taught universalism [which is the idea that everyone will be saved, including the Devil. Origen was really whack, dude would allegorize whole sections of the Bible and based much of his ideas on the subject on Greek philosophy.] While he was later tried as a heretic, he started the universalism school of thought, and a lot of folks took and ran with his ideas. As far as I understand, you have three schools of thought on this today. You have the traditional view which is Eternal Conscious Torment, you’ve got Universalism, and what you call Conditional Immortality [often termed “annihilation.”]

This is true. Our emotions can be our enemies. My father and I butted heads over salvation. Just before he died at 95 God gave him a vision. I still don’t know if dad accepted God’s invitation or not. Matthew 7:21 always stops me cold. Thanks for having the courage to proclaim Truth.
